“The reading is not pleasant, but it is not surprising either. In a new analysis, the NGO Center for Power Analysis, which stands behind the Denmark map, conclude that jealousy is the primary reason why women are murdered, based on a mapping of the 240 femicides committed in Denmark in the period 2000-2021."

On the occasion of International Women's Day, we focus on violence against women. Ditte Bjerregaard is in the studio and talks about the connection between violence and power. We talk about the situation, when power turns into violence, about violence in a gender perspective, and about the structures behind physical and psychological violence.

2022, 21.2 Zetland
Zetland brought an important contribution to the conversation about men's violence and killing of women. In the article, Selin Türker interviewed Ditte Bjerregaard and asked about some of the things that preceded the attempted murder a man subjected her to. In Center for Magtanalyse, we talk about the violence we have felt on our own bodies, but we still need to bring those who perpetrate the violence on the field.

The citizens' proposal was put up on 8 March and gained 50,000 supporters in 8 days.
We support the citizens' proposal "repeal the civil service reform from 1969 - create equality between public trade groups" and are co-presenters together with the trade groups concerned. We stand together with nurses, social workers, midwives and educators to say stop to the politicians who maintain a reform from 1969 which to this day still creates structural oppression in the above professional groups in the form of wage inequality and sexism. We believe that inequality is violence and the civil service reform is yet another far-reaching example of structural inequality in Denmark to which nurses, midwives, social workers and pedagogues are subject. We encourage our followers to sign and support to break with the politically created reform from 1969 and thereby break with structural inequality and structural sexism.

We have a column in ALT.dk. The column is a comment on the recent Brian Mørk and Naser Khader show and #dajegsagdefra.
Through the concept of fawning, the co-founder of the association, Ditte Bjerregaard, tackles why you cannot always speak out when you are exposed to violence, and shows how non-physical forms of resistance are also resistance.
