Violence in dating or friendship relationships

Most people will, at some point in their lives, witness, experience, or perpetrate violence. Therefore, it is important that we talk about how violence begins and what is needed to prevent it—or interrupt it if it escalates. The presentation lasts a total of 90 minutes, meaning two 45-minute sessions excluding the break.

Through this presentation, we teach students concrete violence-prevention methods, both as bystanders and in case they themselves experience violence in a close relationship.

The students will learn, among other things, about the “violence staircase,” “love bombing,” and psychological violence.

Gender, body and sexuality

Through presentations on gender, body, and sexuality, we focus on how norms have developed over time and explore together how these norms affect the students. The presentation also addresses understanding the connection between body and mind.

PRENSENTATION OF CFV’S FEMICIDE WATCH

Background

In 2021, the Center for Violence Prevention launched the initiative Femicide Watch Denmark, with the purpose of monitoring and analyzing the killings of women. On average, 11 women are killed each year by a partner, ex-partner, a family member, another known relation, or a stranger. The organization has mapped 309 killings of women since 2000 and continuously obtains access to case files. Based on the largest dataset on killings in Denmark to date, the Center for Violence Prevention holds lectures sharing insights from the initiative and provides tools for identifying early signs of violence and preventing homicide.

Price and booking
